Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Principal Power Automate & Data Analytics Engineer to lead the transformation of ITSM Governance through automation, analytics, AI-driven insights, and workflow optimization. This role is responsible for architecting, developing, and governing enterprise-scale automation solutions that eliminate manual effort, improve compliance, enhance reporting accuracy, and drive operational efficiency across IT Service Management processes. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI), strong ITSM governance knowledge, advanced analytics capabilities, and the ability to design intelligent automation solutions that streamline governance activities across Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Availability, Capacity, Service Request, Risk, Audit, and Operational Excellence functions. This is a hands‑on principal engineering role requiring technical leadership, data‑driven decision making, enterprise architecture thinking, and the ability to influence organizational transformation through automation and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
ITSM Governance Automation Strategy
  • Define and execute the enterprise roadmap for ITSM Governance automation.
  • Identify manual governance activities and transform them into automated workflows.
  • Drive automation-first thinking across Service Management and Operations teams.
  • Establish automation standards, reusable frameworks, templates, and best practices.
  • Build scalable governance solutions that improve productivity, compliance, and service quality.
Power Automate Engineering
  • Design, develop, and support enterprise-grade Power Automate solutions.
  • Create intelligent workflows for: Governance reviews Audit evidence collection Risk management activities Policy compliance monitoring CAB approvals Change governance controls Knowledge lifecycle management Major Incident governance Problem Management workflows KPI reporting and escalation processes
  • Develop API integrations with ServiceNow, Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Dataverse, and third-party platforms.
  • Implement exception handling, resiliency controls, and automation monitoring.
Data Analytics & Executive Reporting
  • Design and develop enterprise Power BI dashboards and reporting platforms.
  • Build KPI, KRI, SLA, SLO, OKR, and compliance reporting solutions.
  • Develop advanced DAX measures, semantic models, and automated reporting frameworks.
  • Analyze operational data and identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Create predictive and trend analytics for governance functions.
  • Implement executive scorecards that provide actionable insights and decision support.
ITSM Governance Enablement
  • Partner with ITSM Process Owners to modernize governance processes.
  • Automate recurring governance activities including: Service reviews Audit readiness Compliance attestations Control testing Action item tracking Risk assessments Evidence management Change reviews
  • Improve governance transparency through real‑time reporting and analytics.
AI & Innovation
  • Leverage Microsoft Copilot and AI capabilities to improve governance workflows.
  • Implement AI‑assisted analytics and intelligent automation.
  • Drive innovation initiatives that reduce operational overhead.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and automation opportunities.
  • Promote citizen development while maintaining governance and security standards.
Platform Governance & Standards
  • Establish enterprise Power Platform governance standards.
  • Define development lifecycle, deployment, monitoring, and documentation standards.
  • Manage security, access control, data protection, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Drive platform optimization, performance tuning, and operational excellence.
Technical Leadership
  • Serve as the principal technical expert for Power Platform and analytics solutions.
  • Mentor engineers, analysts, and automation developers.
  • Lead architecture reviews and solution design workshops.
  • Influence enterprise automation strategies and technology decisions.
  • Partner with Architecture, Engineering, Security, Risk, Audit, and Operations teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
  • 15+ years of overall IT experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in automation, analytics, or enterprise platform engineering.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on Power Platform development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL and ITSM processes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale automation initiatives.
  • Experience working within regulated or governance-intensive environments.
