Job Description AND PrinciplE Responsibilities Senior Solution Architect will architect and guide delivery of solutions that meet strategic and tactical needs across channels and platforms. Will own the technical roadmap, manage technical risks, ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, and partner with engineering and security teams to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Senior Solution Architect is also responsible to design technical roadmap and processes. Design and develop change resilient application code and execute robust and effective testing. Manage project execution to ensure expected business requirements and related benefits are delivered within appropriate time/budget parameters with a product mindset. Comply with Technology mandates as they relate to methodology, process, and compliance.
Architect solutions to meet strategic/tactical technical needs; drive end-to-end solution design for initiatives and enhancements. Ensure non-functional requirements are incorporated into overall solution architecture (e.g., reliability, performance, maintainability, supportability). Define interactions between systems/components to optimize functional coverage and integration.
Create and maintain a technical capability roadmap; own technical risks and mitigation approaches associated with features and technologies. Ensure alignment with architectures defined within the division and across the enterprise; ensure enterprise technical standards are met. Evaluate technologies/products/solutions and recommend introduction, retirement, or phase-out aligned to roadmap and enterprise direction.
Coordinate and address security architecture requirements in partnership with enterprise security teams. Support governance/approval readiness by ensuring architecture diagrams reflect implemented reality; ensure monitoring/logging posture and enterprise pipeline usage evidence is in place when required.
Lead developers in creation/review of new or enhanced software and provide technical guidance through design and implementation decisions. Engage business partners to understand requirements; translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate recommendations to stakeholders. Collaborate closely with Business Architects/Product teams to ensure technical architecture supports business objectives. Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to ensure technical standards are defined (as needed) and implemented by the multiple Agile teams in accounting.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering (or equivalent experience). 15+ years of significant experience in solution architecture and delivery in complex environments (multi-team, cross-functional). 5+ years in Finance domain, 2+ in Investment domain within Finance. Custody domains experience a huge plus
