Job summary

DHL IT Services is seeking a Planon Expert to lead complex Planon implementations and ongoing operations in a global environment. You will design configurations, develop Java/JavaScript extensions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, well-documented Planon solutions across our Corporate Real Estate ecosystem.

The role emphasizes FM domain knowledge, Planon certifications, and strong stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Planon experience with certifications is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead consultant for complex Planon implementations and changes across FM.
• Translate business requirements into scalable end-to-end Planon solutions.
• Design and implement advanced Planon configurations, business rules, JavaScript and Java extensions.
• Define technical solution designs and guide less experienced colleagues.
• Implement Planon Gadgets, PSS Forms, TSIs, including JavaScript and SQL add-ons.
• Design and validate testing approaches to ensure quality and compliance.
• Ensure high-quality documentation and code reviews.

You will provide second/third level day-to-day operation support, and help investigate and resolve incidents, which were not resolved in lower support levels. As part of the Global Planon Team, you will play a key role in keeping our worldwide Planon environment running smoothly while driving continuous improvements across the platform.

• Consult and deliver changes in our global Planon syste, partnering with business and IT stakeholders to design, implement, and document stable, scalable, and high-quality solutions.
• Ensure reliable day-to-day operations by supporting and troubleshooting the Planon platform, resolving incidents, and maintaining system stability for our global user community.
• Enable and guide key users by providing functional support, sharing best practices, and helping them fully understand and leverage the capabilities of the Planon system.
• Implement and monitor interfaces to other systems
• Collaborate in an international environment, working closely with colleagues, business partners, and service providers to continuously improve processes and user experience across DHL's Corporate Real Estate ecosystem.

As a Planon Expert, having strong FM/real-estate domain knowledge, and solid technical skills (SQL, Java/JavaScript, APIs), with Planon’s own implementation/functional certifications strongly preferred is a huge plus.

About The Role

• As our global Planon environment grows in scale and complexity, we are strengthening our internal development capabilities. We are therefore looking for both experienced Planon Experts and motivated professionals ready to grow into an expert role.
• You will consult on and implement changes within our worldwide Planon system, working closely with business and IT stakeholders to deliver stable, scalable, and well-documented solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as lead consultant for complex Planon implementations and changes. especially with the Facility Management area of Planon
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable end-to-end Planon solutions.
• Design and implement advanced Planon configurations, business rules, JavaScript and Java (TMS) extensions.
• Define technical solution designs and guide less experienced colleagues.
• Implement complex Planon Gadgets, PSS Forms, TSIs, including JavaScript and SQL add-ons.
• Design and validate testing approaches, ensure system quality, stability, and compliance with standards.
• Ensure high-quality documentation, code reviews, and solution transparency.

Required Experience & Skills

• Understanding of Facility Management area of Planon
• Extensive hands-on experience with Planon configuration and customization.
• Deep understanding of Planon business rules, workflows, and FM processes.
• Strong experience with Java, JavaScript, and SQL in a Planon context.
• Proven experience with Planon Web Frontend and mobile configurations.
• Ability to work independently in a global, cross-functional environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
