Job summary

HomeLane is seeking an experienced Principal Designer to lead high-value residential projects and mentor junior designers, driving client strategy from concept to production. This role goes beyond design to include leadership, revenue ownership, and ensuring premium quality.

You will manage premium customers end-to-end, translate requirements into innovative solutions, supervise production and installation teams, and uphold HomeLane’s standards while handling complex, high-ticket outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ year degree in Interior Designing or Architecture from a reputed institution.
• Strong hands-on site experience with deep understanding of installation feasibility and execution challenges.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead a portfolio of high-value HomeLane customers from first consultation through order booking and final design sign-off.
• Translate client requirements into innovative, functional, and premium design solutions aligned with budget and feasibility.
• Drive revenue by confidently presenting, influencing, and closing design proposals.
• Create accurate quotations, detailed concepts, and production-ready drawings for manufacturing.
• Ensure designs are technically sound and installation-friendly with minimal site escalations.
• Proactively identify and resolve client concerns and execution challenges.
• Coordinate closely with production, operations, and installation teams for seamless delivery.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, ensuring design excellence and best practices.
• Contribute to process improvements and uphold HomeLane’s design and quality standards.

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Principal Designer to lead high-value residential design projects at HomeLane. This role goes beyond project execution — it requires design leadership, client strategy, revenue ownership, and mentorship of junior designers.

As a Principal Designer, you will manage premium customers end-to-end — from consultation and concept development to order booking and production alignment — ensuring exceptional design quality, commercial success, and superior customer satisfaction.

This role demands strong design expertise, site and execution knowledge, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to handle complex, high-ticket projects independently.

Required Expertise & Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ year Degree in Interior Designing or Architecture from a reputed institution.
• Strong hands-on site experience with deep understanding of installation feasibility and execution challenges. Proven experience handling premium residential interior projects.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive conversions and manage high-value customers.
• Proficiency in Google SketchUp (mandatory); working knowledge of rendering tools such as Enscape or V-Ray will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of space planning, modular furniture systems, materials, and production processes.
• Highly customer-centric mindset with the ability to balance design, functionality, timelines, and budget.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of the local language is an added advantage.
