Job summary

Tekskills is seeking a Principal Engineer for SIP protocols to lead design and migration efforts in telecom voice systems. The role requires deep SIP expertise, experience with IMS platforms, and hands-on work with SBCs and softswitches. Hybrid work locations include Bangalore, Chennai, and Pune.

The ideal candidate will drive scalable, cloud-native voice solutions, optimize call signaling, and deliver robust documentation for cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in telecom voice systems and SIP-based architectures.
• Extensive expertise in SIP protocol, call flows, and session management.
• Experience with IMS migration or replacement, ideally Ericsson IMS.
• Strong understanding of call processing, routing, and signaling across voice networks.
• Hands-on with SBCs, media gateways, and softswitches.
• Ability to design scalable, cloud-native voice solutions and troubleshoot SIP signaling.
• Excellent communication and documentation for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement SIP-based voice solutions for telecom networks.
• Lead migration/replacement of IMS platforms with a focus on Ericsson IMS where applicable.
• Troubleshoot SIP signaling issues and optimize call performance.
• Collaborate with vendors, field teams and R&D for integration and validation.
• Document architectures, call flows and troubleshooting guides for operations.
