Job summary

RTX, a Collins Aerospace business, is seeking a software project engineer in Bengaluru on an onsite basis. You will lead software projects, provide technical direction, and help ensure compliance with DO-178 and other certification requirements, guiding teams through the full software development cycle in a regulated aerospace environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead software projects: provide project management and technical direction through all program phases (pursuit, bidding, planning, execution, sustainment).
• Ensure consistency with Collins Aerospace technical engineering processes.
• Define development plans and ensure compliance with DO-178 and other certification requirements; lead certification audits.
• Guide a wide range of entry-level to senior engineers on the teams.
• Communicate technical progress, risks, opportunities, financial data, and other project information clearly and concisely.

What You Will Do

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with Avionics regulatory and certification requirements and processes is preferred.
• Experience with RTCA/FAA DO-160/DO-178 Standards and an understanding of their application in safety‑critical avionics systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team through the full software development cycle in a regulated industry, preferably with experience in avionics software projects.
