RTX in Hyderabad is seeking a Lead Engineer – Software (P2) to contribute to design, development, and verification of engineering tools and software libraries used in aerospace projects.

You will work across JavaScript, C, and C++, building front-end and back-end solutions while mentoring teammates and collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality software on schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software application development.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience in: JavaScript, C, C++.
• Experience developing front-end and back-end applications.
• Experience developing software tools and reusable software libraries.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using Visual Studio and other development/debugging tools.
• Good understanding of: Software architecture, System software concepts, Operating systems, Binary executables, Debugging information.
• Experience with software configuration management and change-control processes.
• Experience with tools such as SVN, Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
• Experience with development environments, debuggers, static analysis, code-quality, and software-testing tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to take technical ownership of assigned software features and project milestones.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Lead Engineer – Software (P2) to join our engineering team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, enhancement, and verification of engineering tools, software applications, and reusable software libraries that support aerospace software development. You will work across both front‑end and back‑end technologies, developing solutions using JavaScript, C, and C++. As an independent contributor, you will take technical ownership of assigned features and components while collaborating with software engineers, architects, and cross‑functional stakeholders. What You Will Do

• Work as an independent contributor in the design, development, enhancement, and verification of software tools, applications, and reusable software libraries.
• Design, develop, modify, document, and test software applications and engineering tools using JavaScript, C, and C++.
• Develop robust and user‑focused front‑end applications and reliable back‑end services and components.
• Ensure effective interaction between front‑end, back‑end, databases, libraries, and other application layers.
• Understand and manage interfaces, dependencies, and interactions between software applications, libraries, databases, and external hardware/software components.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's or Master's degree in: Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Technology Software Engineering or a related STEM discipline. Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
