Job summary

WSP India is seeking a Principal Engineer with 12–18 years of experience to join our GCC Team at the India office. The role focuses on guiding engineers in hydrology and hydraulics design projects, including sanitary, storm, water systems, flood assessment, and coordination with utilities.

Lead design work, ensure adherence to standards, and coordinate with related disciplines to deliver robust infrastructure solutions. A strong background in GIS and digital engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• 12–18 years of experience in hydrology/ hydraulics design.
• Experience with sanitary and stormwater systems and flood assessment.
• Strong coordination and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Undertake project reviews to ensure that all work undertaken is in accordance with appropriate professional and technical standards and practices and meets the project requirements.

Qualifications

Good to have software proficiencies:

• Proficiency in hydraulic and hydrologic modelling software such as InfoWorks ICM, TUFLOW, XP-SWMM, HEC-RAS, DHI MIKE, RORB, HY-8, Drains, WaterGEMS and SewerGEMS.
• Experience with civil engineering design platforms including Civil 3D, 12d Model or equivalent.
• Demonstrated capability in GIS applications (ArcGIS, QGIS), digital engineering and digital twin platforms (e.g., iTwin), and automation through APIs, RubyScript, Python or similar scripting languages.
• Exposure to risk and systems modelling tools such as GoldSim will be advantageous.
