Job summary

WSP's ME energy team is seeking a Technical Expert with deep HV cable design expertise. The role centers on HV cabling in power transmission and distribution projects, with emphasis on design, manufacture, and testing of HV cables used in HVAC systems, and ideally HVDC work onshore and offshore.

You will lead cable engineering deliverables, ensure timely, quality delivery, and act as the main technical liaison to clients in the Middle East, contributing to system design and CYMCAP assessments.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in the design, manufacture, and testing of HV cables for HV electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience with HV cable systems in HVAC applications; experience with HVDC projects is desirable.
• Proficiency with HV cable system design and ratings, including CYMCAP (or equivalent).

The role focuses on HV cables experience within Power Transmission & Distribution projects, with extensive design, manufacture, and test experience for HV cables used in HVAC and, desirably, HVDC projects onshore and offshore. The incumbent will manage cable engineering deliverables, enable timely and quality project delivery, and act as the front face to key clients in the Middle East.
