Job summary

Klimb.io is seeking a Senior DevOps/Cloud Architect to design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for our web, mobile, and big data applications. The role involves optimizing multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), ensuring high availability, and implementing automated deployment and monitoring pipelines.

The candidate will lead efforts in performance tuning, capacity planning, and DR strategies, working across Linux, Python, and modern CI/CD toolchains to keep the SaaS stack reliable

Qualifications

• 8–10 years experience designing and maintaining high-volume, scalable microservices on cloud infrastructure.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration background.
• Proficient in Python and shell scripting.
• Extensive experience with AWS, GCP and Azure cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure for delivering web, mobile, and big data apps on the cloud.
• Scale and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB), web servers, frameworks, caches, and distributed messaging systems.
• Automate deployment and configuration of the virtualized infrastructure and the entire software stack.
• Plan, implement, and maintain robust backup and restoration policies with low RTO and RPO.
• Support Linux servers running our SaaS platform on AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, and Ali Cloud.
• Define and build processes to identify performance bottlenecks and scaling pitfalls.
• Manage robust monitoring and alerting infrastructure.
• Explore new tools to improve development operations and automate daily tasks.
• Ensure high availability and auto-failover with minimal manual intervention.

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure for delivering and running web, mobile, and big data applications on the cloud.
• Scale and optimize a variety of SQL and NoSQL databases (especially MongoDB), web servers, application frameworks, caches, and distributed messaging systems.
• Automate the deployment and configuration of the virtualized infrastructure and the entire software stack.
• Plan, implement, and maintain robust backup and restoration policies, ensuring low RTO and RPO.
• Support several Linux servers running our SaaS platform stack on AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, and Ali Cloud.
• Define and build processes to identify performance bottlenecks and scaling pitfalls.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in designing and maintaining high-volume and scalable microservices architecture on cloud infrastructure.
• Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration and Python/Shell Scripting.
• Extensive experience working with cloud platforms like AWS (EC2, ELB, S3, Auto Scaling, VPC, Lambda), GCP, and Azure.
• Experience in deployment automation, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (Jenkins, Maven, Puppet, Chef, and GitLab), and monitoring tools like Zabbix, CloudWatch Monitoring, and Nagios.
• Knowledge of Java Virtual Machines, Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Apache Kafka, microservices architecture, and caching mechanisms.
• Experience in query analysis, performance tuning, and database redesign.
• Experience in enterprise application development, maintenance, and operations.
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, judgment, and decision-making skills.
