Job summary

AECOM is seeking a senior chemical engineer in Bengaluru to lead design for Bulk Chemicals and slurry distribution, piping layouts, and technical documentation. The role emphasizes safety, standards compliance, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering teams.

The ideal candidate brings 12+ years in semiconductor or related process engineering, with hands-on experience in process modeling, simulations, and vendor reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of semiconductor fabrication or process engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of chemical handling and safety standards.
• Experience with process modeling and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design in development of Bulk Chemicals and Slurry Distribution Systems along concept-, basic- and detailed design stages.
• Design of components of plants and piping with focus on storage and distribution of chemicals.
• Specification of storage and treatment systems, components and piping distribution.
• Monitoring and optimization of project management KPI related to the technical system (timeline, cost, quality)
• Identify and mitigate process bottlenecks through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Enforce safety and compliance by overseeing the implementation of protocols for hazardous and cryogenic gases in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations SEMI, ISO, OSHA, EPA, NFPA etc.
• Knowledge of applicable international standards and local country standards.
• Understanding the requirements and preparing technical documentation, DBR, PFD, P&ID, equipment specifications and reports.
• Support feasibility studies, cost analysis, and risk assessments for FAB projects.
• Define System Performance Guarantee Parameters.
• Vendor evaluation and selection, Vendor Engineering Reviews.
• Piping Layouts / Piping Distribution, Isometric Drawing preparation, BOQ generations.
• Process inputs for Control Logics.
• Review vendor design calculations, schematics

Job Description
