Job summary

Insight is seeking a Principal Engineer – Azure Infrastructure (Managed Cloud) to guide clients in implementing and managing Microsoft 365 solutions, tailoring infrastructure to business needs and delivering secure, scalable designs.

The role involves technical leadership across hosted and remotely managed projects, ensuring smooth kickoffs, UAT, and go-lives while addressing upgrades, migrations, and complex incidents in line with governance standards.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Cloud Infrastructure including Azure and AWS (IaaS & PaaS).
• Solid understanding of cloud services, Active Directory, Networking, Firewall & Security Center.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and scripting languages (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform, PowerShell, Azure CLI).
• Deep knowledge of cloud security best practices, identity and access management, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients as technical specialist and design and develop infrastructure solutions based on requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and ownership from project kickoff through UAT and go-live for hosted and remotely managed projects.
• Post go-live project consultations for upgrades, migrations, and incident resolution across environments.
• Ensure all project requirements have a clearly defined scope and can be progressed by the service team.

About the role

As a Principal Engineer – Azure Infrastructure (Managed Cloud), you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to clients in the implementation and management of Microsoft 365 solutions. We will count on you to work closely with clients to understand their business needs and develop customized solutions that meet their specific requirements. Along the way, you will get to:

• Engage with clients as technical specialist and design and develop infrastructure solutions based on requirement.
• Provide technical leadership and ownership from project kick off through UAT and go-live for hosted and remotely managed customer projects.
• Post go-live project consultation for major changes (upgrades, migrations, etc.) and to help identify and resolve complex problems caused by repetitive incidents.
• Ensure that all current and future technical project requirements (tasks, changes, deliverables, etc.) have a clearly defined scope and can be progressed by the responsible service team without issue.
