Job summary

Standard Chartered India seeks a senior information security professional to oversee risk-based reviews, evaluate AI/ML security controls, and mentor junior staff in Bengaluru. The role focuses on safeguarding banking operations and applying industry standards while collaborating with security teams.

You will drive security assessment activities, work across CIO/CISO teams, and help strengthen the bank's cyber defenses in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years in information cyber security, preferably in banking/financial services.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in application/infrastructure risk assessments.
• 3+ years in implementation or management of security tools/projects.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate design/effectiveness of technology controls for AI models, use cases, apps and infrastructure.
• Test and validate emerging technologies such as ML.
• Act as security liaison for key business and IT projects.
• Perform risk-based reviews aligned with ICS standards.
• Provide guidance to developers on risk mitigation/remediation.
• Review risks and identify root causes for vulnerabilities; propose improvements.
• Report risk summaries to stakeholders.
• Train and mentor junior staff.

Our team is dedicated to delivering robust and effective information security services that protect both our internal operations and our interactions with external stakeholders.

Job Summary

Discover and Remediate Securely (DRS) is part of the Bank’s wider Cyber Security Services (CSS) with the unified objective of safeguarding the Bank from a wide range of information Cyber Security threats. Our team is dedicated to delivering robust and effective information security services that protect both our internal operations and our interactions with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of technology controls for AI models, use cases, applications, and infrastructure systems
• Test and validate emerging technologies such as machine learning
• Act as security liaison for all key business and IT projects
• Perform risk-based reviews aligned with IC S standard requirements
• Provide advice and support to developers and relevant support teams in designing and implementing risk mitigation and remediation measures
• Review risks and identify root causes for common vulnerabilities, providing recommendations for sustainable improvements
• Report risk summaries accurately to various stakeholders
• Train and mentor junior staff

Education

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science/Information Technology or its equivalent is preferable.

Training

Minimum 10-12 years’ experience in Information Cyber Security, preferably in Banking and Financial services sector. Out of which:

• At least 5 years or more hands‑on experience on application/ infrastructure risk assessments
• At least 3 years of experience in implementation or management of security tools/ projects

Certifications

• Cisa, CISM or CISSP is preferred
