Job summary

Standard Chartered seeks an Associate Director - Relationship Manager - SME ME to lead client relationships and sales governance in the SME segment. You will coordinate with multiple stakeholders for briefing notes, pitches and post-deal onboarding, while ensuring high client satisfaction and strong risk controls.

The role emphasizes adherence to risk, policy, and compliance standards, with focus on renewal management, credit administration, and effective portfolio recovery collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Client & Sales Management. Work closely with various stakeholders in preparation of briefing notes, sales pitches, etc.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient post-deal documentation and client onboarding. Liaise with stakeholders to ensure post original process & documentation is completed on time.
  • Quality engagement with client to ensure high ratings in client surveys. Manage Excess & Past Dues; coordinate with CDD for timely renewals and with portfolio & OR teams for portfolio quality.
  • Adherence to policy and procedure; compliance with Credit Admin Framework; strengthen risk monitoring using Early Warning System; support recovery efforts with GSAM.
  • Identify, elevate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters; uphold risk & compliance culture; ensure Group Code of Conduct.

Governance
  • Client & Sales Management. Work Closely with Various stakeholder in preparation of briefing notes, Sales pitches etc.
  • Ensure smooth & efficient post deal documentation & client onboarding. Ensure post original process & documentation is completed on time by liaising with stakeholders.
  • Quality engagement with client to ensure highest rating in Client surveys. Effective management of Excess & Past Dues, work closely with CDD to ensure timely renewals & also with the portfolio & OR team to ensure high quality of portfolio.
  • Adherence to all aspects of policy and procedure. Full adherence to Credit Admin Framework and all related aspects. Fully adopt Early Warning System to strengthen risk monitoring. Assist with co-management of stressed accounts with GSAM to reduce impairments and strengthen recovery effort.
  • Managing risk and compliance as part of my role. Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of my role. Understand and comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Groups policies, procedures and the Group Code of Conduct. Effectively identify, elevate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters. Contribute to a culture in which all stakeholders feel safe to raise concerns and where risk and compliance matters are addressed and misconduct appropriately dealt with
  • Maintaining Audit quality. Quick turnaround on Credit Requests. Embed usage of Credit Risk Analytics. Ensure full adherence to Group Code of conduct. Contribute to a culture in which all stakeholders feel safe to raise concerns and where risk and compliance matters are addressed and misconduct appropriately dealt with.

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
