Job summary

RIA Advisory is seeking an experienced Principal Consultant MDM to lead Oracle Utilities MDM / C2M implementations across utilities such as Power, Water, or Gas. You will translate business requirements into technical designs, configure MDM metering workflows, and drive end-to-end delivery with strong client interaction.

The role requires expert OUAF, Java, Groovy, and XML skills, with deep metering domain knowledge and a proven track record in large-scale utility programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of Oracle Utilities experience.
• Minimum 45 MDM/C2M implementations for large utility programs.
• Expert-level experience with Oracle MDM in C2M, particularly the metering domain.
• Strong experience with meter setup, meter reads, VEE rules, Prepaid, Tariff configuration, and usage calculations.
• Strong understanding of MDM batch processing and metering processes.
• Hands-on experience integrating HES with Oracle C2M.
• Strong knowledge of OUAF, Java, Groovy, and XML.
• Strong experience in the utilities domain, preferably Power, Water, or Gas.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders and customers.
• Ability to work effectively across different cultures and time zones and deliver within tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Oracle Utilities MDM / C2M implementation projects across Power, Water, or Gas utilities.
• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate into functional and technical design documents.
• Work with business and technical teams on process mapping, design, and implementation.
• Configure and manage meter setup, reads, metering workflows, and MDM batch processes.
• Design and implement integrations between HES and Oracle C2M, including upstream and downstream systems.
• Configure and develop base and custom VEE rules, Prepaid modules, Tariffs, and Usage Calculation Rules.
• Provide expertise across Device Management, Usage Management, and related MDM areas.
• Develop and customize solutions using OUAF, Java, and Groovy.
• Participate across the SDLC: design, development, testing, deployment, Agile/Waterfall, UAT, and production support.
• Configure and optimize MDM batch processes and metering workflows.
• Prepare for client demos, stakeholder walkthroughs, and UAT cycles.
• Troubleshoot MDM-related production issues and provide technical support.

• Work closely with business and technical teams on business process mapping, solution design, and implementation.
• Configure and manage meter setup, meter reads, metering workflows, and MDM batch processes.
• Design and implement integrations between Head-End Systems (HES) and Oracle C2M, including upstream and downstream systems.
• Configure and develop base and custom VEE rules, Prepaid modules, Tariffs, and Usage Calculation Rules.
• Provide expertise across Device Management, Usage Management, Measuring Components, Device Events, Device Communication, Usage Subscription, Time of Use (TOU), Interval Meter Data, and XML formats.
• Develop and customize solutions using Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF), Java, and Groovy.
• Participate across the SDLC, including design, development, testing, deployment, Agile/Waterfall delivery, UAT, and production support.
• Configure and optimize MDM batch processes and metering workflows.
• Prepare and configure the system for client demonstrations, stakeholder walkthroughs, and UAT cycles.
• Troubleshoot MDM-related production issues and provide technical support to project teams.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and contribute to innovative and efficient delivery approaches.

Required Candidate Profile
