Job summary

Flex is seeking a Principal Consultant based in Chennai to lead business analysis across supply chain and manufacturing domains. You will elicit requirements, guide stakeholders, and coordinate functional specs while collaborating with development, QA, and other teams to deliver outcomes.

Requires 8+ years in Solution Management or BA roles, strong SQL, familiarity with Agile frameworks (SCRUM preferred), and experience with JIRA or TFS.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Solution Manager or Business Analyst in Supply Chain or Manufacturing domains.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SCRUM preferred).
• Ability to write clear functional specifications and to elicit requirements from multiple stakeholders.

The position Principal Consultant will be based in Chennai and reporting to a Senior Manager.

What a typical day will look like:

• Understands and is competent in full range of techniques for eliciting business requirements, and demonstrates ability to select and utilize most effective approach for each requirement gathering assignment
• Recognizes and effectively engages all stakeholder groups necessary for successful requirements gathering
• Facilitates cross-functional business requirement gathering sessions
• Acts like a consultant in guiding the business groups by helping them understand the software applications, SDLC and change management process.
• Prepares written Functional Specifications (FS) that conforms to department standards, that encompass regulatory, business, user, functional and non-functional requirements as appropriate
• Accurately defines dependencies, constraints, assumptions and risks
• Conducts functional testing of the applications to ensure all requirements are met.
• Collaboration and project management with development team, QA team, other application teams to execute and deliver the outcomes of the project.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• 8+ years’ experience as a Solution Manager with demonstrated business analysis experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing Domain
• Understanding of development methodologies (including Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc) and experience in one of the Agile methodologies preferably in SCRUM.
• Good oral & written communication skills
• Experience with business requirements gathering techniques and analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Engineering, Business Administration or MCA.
• Ability to write SQL queries, extract data for various business needs
• Working knowledge of JIRA, TFS or any other work management tool
• Any scrum-based certification is preferred
