WSP in India seeks a Principal/Senior BIM Technician to join our Structural team in Bengaluru. This role involves detailed structural modelling and drawings primarily using Revit and Tekla Structures, supporting the WSP GCC Netherlands BIM team. Candidates should have robust CADS RC Detailing and AutoCAD knowledge.

The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and over 10 years of relevant industry experience. We require proficiency in Revit or Tekla Structures.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Structural Concrete and steel industry.
• Experience working in Tekla environment inclusive of Steel, Precast, Point Cloud and Cast‑in‑situ models.
• Knowledge of international codes and industry standards.

Job Summary

WSP India is seeking Principle/Senior BIM Technicians for our Structural team in Bengaluru. The role supports the WSP GCC Netherlands BIM team, focusing on detailed structural modelling and drawings using Revit and Tekla Structures. Candidates must have strong CADS RC Detailing and AutoCAD knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of Engineering/Reinforcement Drawings using WSP CAD/BIM Standards and Templates.
• Agree priorities and deadlines with the Netherlands Team and organise work to ensure timely delivery.
• Align work with quality requirements and maintain document control for all output.
• Proactively raise queries, identify necessary inputs from others and follow up.
• Develop templates and libraries for CAD/BIM work.
• Prepare structural detailed and concept design RC detailing drawings for various structures/buildings and construction types predominantly in the Netherlands.
• Responsible for BIM and CAD standards implementation and enforcement.
• Create and maintain software template files to assure standards.
• Automate routines to support standards and productivity.
• Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all drawings produced.
• Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards.
• Agree priorities and deadlines for drawing production through liaison with the Project Engineer and Netherlands team.
• Maximise utilisation on projects and create Auto Connections and automated parameters when required.
• Maintain cultural awareness, excellent communication skills, self‑motivation and ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in Structural Concrete and steel industry.
• Strong experience with Revit or Tekla Structures – Rebar Detailing, CADS RC and AutoCAD.
• Experience working in Tekla environment inclusive of Steel, Precast, Point Cloud and Cast‑in‑situ models.
• Knowledge of international codes and industry standards.
• Experience assisting CAD/BIM Manager in estimation and costing of CAD/BIM projects and preparing sketches/RFIs for clarification from engineers.

Preferred Skills

• Competence in Revit or Tekla Structures – Rebar Detailing / CADS RC / AutoCAD.

Professional Registration

• Professional registration such as EngTech with ICE, UK is desirable.
