Job summary

Jobtailor in India invites a senior backend architect to lead the design of scalable distributed services, guide modernization of legacy systems, and establish patterns and standards across multiple engineering teams in a cloud-first environment.

You will work with product and DevOps, drive CI/CD, and promote AI-assisted development tools while mentoring engineers and elevating technical quality.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Real, hands-on exposure to legacy system modernization
• Strong grounding in system design and architectural patterns
• Solid data architecture experience
• Extensive experience designing and building RESTful APIs and backend services for enterprise or SaaS platforms
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and release management
• A track record of driving technical direction and influencing multiple teams
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Experience mentoring engineers and raising technical standards across teams
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
