Job summary

Growth For Impact is seeking a Design Engineer to craft primary engineering for high voltage switchgear and ensure timely 3D modelling and BoM generation for substations.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, prepare CAD models, and create part numbers using SAP/ERP while reviewing drawings for accuracy and compliance, addressing customer queries, and ensuring on-time approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• 4 to 6 years of experience.
• Hands-on experience in Creo and Windchill.
• Experience in working in Switchgear mechanical design.
• Understanding of Manufacturing Drawings & Electrical Schematics.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Design primary engineering for high voltage switchgear.
• Submit 3D models for HV products for substations.
• Coordinate with project management, design engineers, and secondary designs.
• Prepare 3D modelling and BoM of modules and products.
• Create part numbers using SAP/ERP.
• Review 2D and 3D drawings before submitting to customers.
• Prepare guaranteed technical parameters for various high voltage.
• Address technical queries raised by customers during project execution.
• Support SCM, project management, and quality to understand customer requirements.
• Coordinate with customers and ensure engineering drawings are approved on time.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

ROLE

• Ensure timely submission of 3D modelled HV Products for various substation configurations/requirements
• Coordinate with other cross functions like project management, Design engineers, and secondary designs for design aspects
• Prepare 3D modelling of high voltage Switchgears and generate BoM of modules and products
• Create part numbers using SAP/ERP
• Coordinate and review the 2D and 3D drawings before submitting to customers
• Prepare guaranteed technical parameters for various high voltage
• Address technical queries raised by customers during project execution
• Support cross functions like SCM, project management, and quality for understanding customer requirements
• Coordinate with customers, resolve queries, and ensure engineering drawings are approved on time
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s in electrical / mechanical engineering
• 4 to 6 years of experience
• Hands-on experience in Creo and Windchill
• Experience in working in Switchgear mechanical design
