Job summary

Stealth Indian Startup in India is seeking a President – Construction to lead end-to-end construction for hyperscale AI data centers across the country.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, owning safety, cost, schedule, commissioning, and operational readiness across multiple campuses.

You'll build a national construction organization, work with investors and EPC partners, and set delivery governance and standard frameworks to scale rapidly.

Qualifications

• 20+ years in large-scale construction leadership
• 10+ years delivering mission-critical or hyperscale data centers
• Experience leading both Civil and MEP-intensive projects
• Strong exposure to owner/developer environments or leading EPC organizations

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the company's construction strategy for hyperscale AI data centers.
• Build and lead a nationwide construction organization across Civil, MEP, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, and Commissioning.
• Establish delivery governance, reporting cadence, and standardized execution frameworks.
• Serve as the executive owner for construction performance across all active campuses.
• Oversee multiple concurrent greenfield and brownfield data center developments.
• Deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to hyperscale quality standards.
• Drive predictable execution across campuses ranging from 50MW to 500MW+.
• Lead executive reviews on schedule recovery, commercial risk, and critical-path decisions.
• Own annual CAPEX delivery exceeding ₹3,000+ Cr across multiple programs.
• Lead contract strategy, EPC selection, commercial negotiations, and change management.
• Drive value engineering without compromising reliability or future scalability.
• Maintain rigorous forecasting, earned value reporting, and executive dashboards.

About the Opportunity

We are building one of India's next-generation AI infrastructure platforms—developing hyperscale, GPU-first data center campuses designed for the world's largest cloud and AI companies.

As President – Construction, you will own the end-to-end construction strategy and execution for multi-billion-dollar data center developments across India. This is a founding executive role with direct influence over how the company scales its delivery organization, partners, and construction playbook. The role aligns with how leading hyperscale operators structure executive construction leadership—owning portfolio delivery, safety, cost, schedule, commissioning, and operational readiness across multiple campuses.

The Role

You will lead the complete construction lifecycle—from pre-construction and design integration through commissioning and handover—while building a high-performing national construction organization capable of delivering multiple hyperscale campuses simultaneously.

This is both a strategic leadership and execution-heavy role requiring deep expertise in mission-critical infrastructure, commercial construction, and large-scale MEP delivery.

Technical Excellence

• Partner with Development and Engineering on constructability and design optimization.
• Champion modular construction, prefabrication, and industrialized delivery methods.
• Ensure seamless integration of critical power, liquid cooling, mechanical systems, and network infrastructure.
• Oversee commissioning readiness through IST and operational acceptance.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary executive interface for investors, hyperscale customers, EPC partners, utilities, and regulatory authorities.
• Build long-term strategic relationships with OEMs, contractors, and government stakeholders.
• Represent the company in executive steering committees and customer delivery reviews.

Ideal Candidate
