Job summary

Speshally.nhs in India seeks a skilled Prepress Executive to prepare print-ready artwork for flexible packaging, pouches, cartons and laminates. You will ensure accuracy in dimensions, bleed, fonts, and colour management for production.

Responsibilities include preflight checks, file version control, and coordination with Design, QC and Production teams to resolve issues and release the latest approved artwork for production.

Qualifications

• Prepare and process artwork for flexible packaging, pouches, cartons, laminates.
• Check artwork for dimensions, bleed, resolution, fonts, die-lines, trapping, overprinting, and registration.
• Prepare print-ready files and colour separations for Flexographic and Gravure printing.
• Verify CMYK, Pantone/spot colours and colour matching.
• Coordinate with Design, QC, Production and Cylinder/Plate teams to resolve artwork-related issues.
• Manage artwork revisions, approvals, and file versions.

We are looking for a skilled Prepress Executive with hands-on experience in the printing and packaging industry, particularly in flexible packaging, pouches, cartons, and laminates. The candidate will be responsible for preparing, checking, and processing artwork to ensure accurate, print-ready files for production.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process artwork for flexible packaging, pouches, cartons, laminates, and other printed packaging materials.
• Check artwork for dimensions, bleed, resolution, fonts, die-lines, trapping, overprinting, and registration.
• Prepare print-ready files and colour separations for Flexographic and Gravure printing.
• Handle CMYK, Pantone/spot colours, colour separation, and colour matching.
• Verify surface and reverse printing requirements, lamination, sealing areas, cutting lines, creasing, and perforation.
• Ensure accurate placement of text, logos, barcodes, QR codes, and regulatory information.
• Conduct preflight checks and identify technical issues before production.
• Coordinate with Design, Quality Control (QC), Production, and Cylinder/Plate teams to resolve artwork-related issues.
• Manage artwork revisions, approvals, and file versions.
• Ensure that only the latest approved artwork is released for production.
• Identify and resolve potential printing and packaging issues before production.

Technical Skills & Software

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Good understanding of colour management, print layouts, and artwork preparation.
• Knowledge of packaging prepress software such as Esko will be an added advantage.
• Practical knowledge of Gravure and Flexographic printing processes.
• Qualification & Experience
• Diploma or Degree in Printing Technology, Packaging Technology, Graphic Design, Prepress, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in prepress, artwork preparation, printing, or packaging.
• Hands-on experience with flexible packaging and Gravure/Flexographic printing is preferred.

Strong attention to detail and colour accuracy.

Good understanding of printing and packaging processes.

Strong technical and problem-solving skills.

Good coordination and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple artworks and meet deadlines.

Compensation

Annual CTC: ₹2,00,000-₹6,00,000, depending on experience, technical expertise, and suitability for the role.
