Job summary

Alembic Pharmaceuticals Mumbai is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planning professional to develop and execute end-to-end supply plans, manage materials planning and optimization, and lead S&OP activities to align demand, supply, and production across locations.

The role requires 10+ years of relevant experience with hands-on SAP, MRP, and inventory management, ensuring uninterrupted product supply and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy / Master of Pharmacy / MBA / BE as eligible qualifications.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, MRP, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute supply plans to ensure timely product availability and achievement of business targets.
  • Manage raw material and packaging material planning, procurement coordination, and inventory optimization.
  • Drive production planning finished goods replenishment, and material replenishment across manufacturing locations.
  • Identify opportunities for third-party to in-house product transfers through feasibility assessment, costing, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Develop product risk mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted product supply.
  • Monitor plant performance through yield analysis, process optimization, batch size optimization, and production efficiency initiatives.
  • Track demand versus commitment versus actual production, sales performance, revenue, and supply bottlenecks through dashboards and key performance indicators.
  • Lead Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) activities to align demand, supply, and production plans.
  • Manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) runs and ensure effective utilization of SAP for planning activities.
  • Prepare and monitor Management Information System (MIS) reports, operational dashboards, On-Time In-Full (OTIF) reports, and business presentations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain planning, inventory management, and operational processes.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, F&D, Analytical Development Laboratory (ADL), Procurement, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless execution of supply plans.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Qualification: Bachelor of Pharmacy / Master of Pharmacy / Master of Business Administration / Bachelor of Engineering.

Experience: 10 + years of relevant experience.

Mandatory Requirements (if any): Hands-on experience with SAP, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and inventory management.
