Job summary

Manpowergroup Services India seeks a hands-on PPC Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy automation and control systems. You will develop PLC-based control logic, configure Power Plant Controllers (PPC), and ensure grid compliance for Solar PV, Wind, and BESS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PLC-based control logic for PPC/EMS.
• Configure and tune PID controllers for active/reactive power, voltage, frequency, power factor, and ramp rate control.
• Integrate and troubleshoot Modbus RTU/TCP, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850, DNP3, and OPC UA with SCADA systems.
• Perform FAT, SAT, loop testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Integrate inverters, BESS, meters, relays, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
• Ensure compliance with grid codes and renewable energy standards.

Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on PPC Engineer with 3-5 years of experience specifically in renewable energy automation and control systems. The candidate will be responsible for developing PLC-based control logic, configuring Power Plant Controllers (PPC), and ensuring grid compliance for Solar PV, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PLC-based control logic for PPC and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
• Configure and tune PID controllers for active/reactive power, voltage, frequency, power factor, and ramp rate control.
• Integrate and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850, DNP3, and OPC UA.
• Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), loop testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Integrate inverters, BESS systems, meters, relays, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable grid codes and renewable energy standards.
• Prepare functional design specifications, control architecture diagrams, and commissioning reports.

Required Skills

• Mandatory 3-5 years of hands-on experience in renewable energy automation and controls, specifically Solar PV, Wind, BESS, or hybrid power plants.
• Strong PLC programming experience with Siemens, Schneider, Beckhoff, WAGO, Rockwell, or equivalent platforms.
• Good knowledge of PPC/EMS, closed-loop control systems, PID tuning, and ramp rate management.
• Working knowledge of Modbus, IEC 104, DNP3, and OPC UA protocols.
• Understanding of grid codes, SCADA architecture, inverters, and power system integration.
• Experience in FAT/SAT, site commissioning, and control logic troubleshooting.
