Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on PowerBuilder development.
• Strong knowledge of PowerScript and PowerBuilder app development.
• Strong SQL development and database programming skills.
• Experience with SQL Server / Oracle / Sybase databases.
• Good understanding of relational database concepts, joins, indexing, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Experience with debugging and troubleshooting complex application issues.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Experience working with source control and deployment processes.
• Good understanding of enterprise application architecture and integration concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, maintain, and support applications using PowerBuilder framework.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and modify PowerBuilder applications and components.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
• Work with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, postgresql.
• Perform application debugging, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
• Participate in application modernization, enhancement, and migration initiatives where required.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA, architects, and other engineering teams.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development and coding standards.
• Develop and execute unit tests and support system/integration testing.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in release and deployment activities.
• Provide L2/L3 production support and ensure timely resolution of critical incidents.
• Identify opportunities to improve application performance, stability, maintainability, and user experience.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced PowerBuilder Developer with 5+ years of hands‑on experience in developing, enhancing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PowerBuilder, SQL, and relational databases, along with a good understanding of application development and production support processes.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and support teams to deliver high-quality solutions, resolve application issues, and continuously improve existing applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, maintain, and support applications using PowerBuilder framework

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PowerBuilder upgrades or migration to newer versions.
• Experience with PowerBuilder DataWindow and complex UI development.
• Exposure to REST/SOAP APIs and application integrations.
• Experience with application modernization or migration from legacy technologies.
• Knowledge of .NET, Java, or other modern application technologies is a plus.
• Experience supporting business‑critical enterprise applications.
• Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices is desirable.
