Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jharkhand for a Power Transmission, PMC assignment. The role involves designing, reviewing, and optimizing transmission line and substation layouts, including preparation and validation of technical documents, drawings, and specifications. The Power Transmission Expert will oversee project execution activities, coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams, and ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality standards. Daily responsibilities include conducting site assessments, troubleshooting technical issues, supporting project planning and scheduling, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers and project staff. The role may also include preparing technical reports, assisting in bid preparation, and participating in meetings and reviews to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Civil Engineering (Diploma in EE/EEE for Site Engineer)
2. Total Experience: Up to 10+ years in planning, design, execution, or supervision of Transmission Lines and Grid Substations
3. Voltage Class Experience: Expertise in 132 kV, 220 kV, and 400 kV or above voltage levels
4. Specialized Domain Expertise:

• Hands-on experience with GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) & AIS (Air Insulated Switchgear) Substations OR
• Specialized experience in Monopole Structure transmission lines OR
• Power sector experience in SLDC Functions, Grid Operations, Power Market, and Open Access OR
• Specialized roles in Project Management, Quality Assurance (QAP), Cost Estimation, and Civil Infrastructure

General Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Transmission Lines, including design, routing, and performance assessment.
• Solid understanding of Substation design, equipment selection, and protection and control systems.
• Proficiency in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and documentation.
• Hands-on experience in Troubleshooting power system and equipment issues in transmission and substation environments.
• Formal background in Electrical Engineering with a bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized institution.
• Knowledge of relevant national and international standards, grid codes, and safety regulations in the power sector.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, use engineering software tools, and perform technical calculations and analyses.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with multidisciplinary teams.
• Previous experience in power transmission projects or consultancy roles is highly beneficial.
