Job summary

Synechron is seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer with 7+ years of experience to design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports. The role requires strong expertise in Power BI, SSRS, and SQL development, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Banking domain experience will be an added advantage. You will design, develop, and optimize Power BI reports and SSRS reports, write complex SQL queries, and translate business requirements

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Power BI report and dashboard development experience.
• Proficient in SQL Server with complex queries, stored procedures and performance tuning.
• Experience in designing and developing SSRS reports and data visualizations.
• Capable of gathering requirements and translating them into scalable BI solutions.
• Banking/financial services domain exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Develop and support SSRS reports including operational and analytical reports.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, procedures, and views.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate into BI solutions.
• Analyze large datasets for trends and insights; ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Troubleshoot, tune performance, and support ETL/data integration tasks.

The ideal candidate should have excellent analytical abilities, hands-on experience in designing and developing reports and dashboards, and the capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Banking domain experience will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI Reports and Dashboards to support business decision-making.
• Develop, enhance, and support SSRS reports including operational, analytical, and management reports.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and optimize database performance.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable reporting and BI solutions.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting platforms.
• Collaborate with business users, stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver reporting solutions.
• Participate in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and resolving production issues.
• Support data integration and ETL processes wherever required.
• Work independently and take ownership of deliverables with minimal supervision.
