Qualifications

Job Description

Power BI Developer

Location: India (Hybrid)

Role and Responsibilities:

• Power BI Solution Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions that transform data into actionable business insights.
• Business & Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, define KPIs, and translate business requirements into scalable analytics solutions.
• Architecture & Solution Design: Provide architecture, design, and configuration support for Power BI solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and adherence to best practices.
• Client Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement: Work directly with clients to provide consulting, technical guidance, solution recommendations, and ongoing support for analytics initiatives.
• Reporting Governance & Optimization: Implement reporting standards, optimize dashboard performance, and promote data governance, usability, and self-service analytics capabilities.
• Technical Delivery & Support: Support end-to-end project delivery, including development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and post-production support for Power BI solutions.
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Stay current with advancements in Power BI and modern analytics technologies to continuously enhance reporting capabilities and user experience.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3 - 6 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale Power BI solutions.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong expertise in Power BI capabilities, including: Power BI Desktop, DAX, Power Query (M), Advanced Data Modeling, Row-Level Security (RLS), Performance Optimization, Dashboard Design and Data Storytelling
  • Experience designing and managing reusable semantic models and governed reporting assets.
  • Strong understanding of KPI definition, metric standardization, and business-rule implementation.
  • Understanding of medallion architecture, ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience working across large and complex datasets.
  • Experience implementing report lifecycle management, deployment pipelines, version control, and release management.
  • Understanding of data security, data privacy, access management, and governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with integrating Power BI with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or enterprise AI platforms (Preferred).
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to transform data challenges into actionable insights and present recommendations to business and technical audiences.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills with experience working directly with clients and business stakeholders to deliver analytics and reporting solutions.
