Chosen Talentz in Coimbatore, India seeks a BI/Reporting Engineer with 5+ years of BI development, including 3+ years on Power BI, to develop trusted Power BI reporting from Snowflake data. The role translates business requirements into semantic models, measures and dashboards with report accuracy and performance in mind.

The position is full-time, on-site at Coimbatore, requiring overlap with US Central business hours and end-user training and documentation responsibilities.

Qualificações

• 5+ years in BI development with 3+ years of Power BI hands-on experience.
• Strong Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SQL and dimensional modeling.
• Experience building production dashboards and semantic models against Snowflake or similar cloud DW.
• Experience with row-level security, refresh troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Proven ability to reconcile reports and support business UAT.
• Ability to communicate with business users and document clearly.

Responsabilidades

• Gather and clarify reporting requirements, acceptance criteria, KPI definitions, and business calculation rules.
• Develop Power BI semantic models, relationships, DAX measures, Power Query transformations, dashboards, and reports.
• Consume approved Snowflake Gold datasets and coordinate required data marts and dimensional models with the data lead.
• Select appropriate connectivity and refresh approaches; configure schedules and monitor refresh reliability.
• Implement approved row-level security and workspace access in coordination with platform and business owners.
• Validate report totals, calculations, filters, and drill paths; reconcile results with trusted data and business expectations.
• Maintain a governed KPI and measure inventory with definitions, ownership, approval history, and source traceability.
• Optimize model size, query behavior, visual performance, and report usability.
• Support UAT, defect resolution, controlled report promotion, and production handover.
• Create report documentation and provide end-user walkthroughs and knowledge transfer.

Job Summary

The role translates business requirements into semantic models, measures, and dashboards using curated Snowflake data, with responsibility for report accuracy, performance, consistent KPI definitions, and user acceptance support.

• Strong Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SQL, and dimensional modeling skills.
• Experience building production dashboards and semantic models against Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse.
• Experience with row-level security, refresh troubleshooting, performance optimization, and deployment practices.
• Demonstrated reporting reconciliation, KPI validation, and business UAT support.
• Ability to communicate with business users and maintain clear technical and functional documentation.

Good to Have

• Financial services sales, customer, advisor, or account reporting experience.
• Familiarity with dbt models, data quality tests, and MDM golden-record consumption.
• Microsoft Power BI certification and experience with Git or Azure DevOps reporting workflows.

Additional Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, structured documentation and ability to take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Availability for agreed overlap with US Central business hours and planned releases is expected.
