Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Power BI development.
  • Proven experience of working with Microsoft Fabric in enterprise or production environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in: Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query / M, Dataflows, Semantic Models, Power BI Deployment and Administration
  • Strong experience in data modeling and data architecture.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT and data integration solutions
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, star schema, and analytics best practices
  • Experience integrating data from multiple sources, including SQL Server, APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications
  • Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
  • Ability to independently manage analytics initiatives from requirements gathering through development, testing, deployment, and support
  • Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and reporting accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, and visualizations.
  • Build and manage enterprise analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Power BI.
  • Design and implement scalable data models, semantic models, and dimensional models.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for integrating data from multiple business systems and applications.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical and reporting solutions.
  • Develop reusable datasets, semantic models, and data assets to support self-service analytics.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, quality, security, and governance across analytics platforms.
  • Develop and optimize DAX measures, calculated columns, Power Query transformations, and Power BI datasets.
  • Optimize Power BI reports, datasets, SQL queries, and data models for performance and scalability.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, including SQL databases, APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and Architecture teams to align BI solutions with enterprise data strategies.
  • Perform data analysis, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of reporting and data-related issues.
  • Support deployment, release management, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance of Power BI and Fabric solutions.
  • Document technical designs, data flows, business rules, data models, and operational procedures.
  • Stay current with Microsoft Power BI, Fabric, Azure, and modern data analytics technologies and recommend appropriate best practices.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Power BI Developer to join our growing Data & Analytics team. The role will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-grade Business Intelligence and analytics solutions using Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.


The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI development, DAX, SQL, data modeling, data architecture, ETL/ELT, and Microsoft Fabric. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and leadership teams to transform business requirements into scalable, reliable, and actionable analytics solutions.

This position requires a proactive professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of data governance, security, access control, and compliance practices.
  • Experience developing and supporting executive dashboards, operational dashboards, and business KPI reporting.
  • Experience with enterprise-scale Power BI implementations.
  • Exposure to CI/CD, source control, and automated deployment processes for Power BI/Fabric solutions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Purview or other data governance platforms is an added advantage.
