Job summary

Weekday AI is seeking a Power BI analytics consultant to build dashboards, data models, and KPI scorecards for multiple client projects. The role requires strong SQL, DAX expertise, and experience with the Microsoft BI stack (Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS).

You will connect to diverse data sources, transform data, and deliver client-ready visuals with robust data governance and security considerations. Candidates should have 4+ years of BI experience, excellent communication, and a proven ability

Qualifications

• Proficient in Power BI report development and dashboard creation.
• Experience building Analysis Services reporting models (SSAS).
• Developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI Desktop.
• Strong data integration: connecting sources, importing, and transforming data for BI.
• Analytical mindset to translate data into actionable reports.
• Implement row-level security and understand security models in Power BI.
• Expertise in DAX queries and advanced calculations.
• Experience designing tabular and multidimensional models aligned with data warehousing standards.
• Excellent communication with client teams and internal stakeholders.
• Experience with Microsoft BI stack: Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS.
• Must-have experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, and SAP.
• 2-3 years in data-focused roles and strong SQL proficiency.
• Knowledge of multidimensional and relational database design.
• Familiarity with Power BI products (Power BI Premium, Server, Services, PowerQuery).
• Ability to derive insights and present to clients; strong data visualization skills.
• Experience optimizing dashboard performance.
• Ability to work with UX/UI teams to design top-tier visualizations.

Requirements

Mandatory:

• Power BI Report development.
• Building Analysis Services reporting models.
• Developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop.
• Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business intelligence.
• Analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals.
• Capable of implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
• Should have an edge over making DAX queries in Power BI desktop.
• Expert in using advanced-level calculations on the data set.
• Responsible for design methodology and project documentaries.
• Should be able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards.
• Very good communication skills must be able to discuss the requirements effectively with the client teams, and with internal teams.
• Experience working with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack having Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS
• Mandate to have experience with BI tools and systems such as Power BI, Tableau, and SAP.
• Must have 2-3years of experience in data-specific roles.
• Have knowledge of database fundamentals such as multidimensional database design, relational database design, and more
• Knowledge of all the Power BI products (Power Bi premium, Power BI server, Power BI services, Powerquery etc)

• Demonstrate strength in data modelling, ETL development, and data warehousing
• Knowledge of leading large-scale data warehousing and analytics projects using Azure, Synapse, MS SQL DB
• Good knowledge of building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets
