Qualifications

• Experience in developing and maintaining visual reports, KPIs, scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI and Cognos.
• Prototyping, designing, and conducting requirement analysis for BI solutions.
• Advanced calculations, large datasets, and performance optimization skills.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and normalization.

We are seeking an experienced SSE Power BI developer with expertise in building, maintaining, and enhancing interactive dashboards and business intelligence reports. The role requires strong skills in SQL and Power BI, and the ability to collect, analyse, and transform data from various sources to create high-performance business intelligence solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and business intelligence services using Power BI.
• Collect, import, analyse, and transform data from various sources for business intelligence purposes.
• Interpret and translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and reports.
• Develop tabular and multidimensional models to meet business requirements and adhere to warehouse standards.
• Create, publish, and maintain Power BI reports, ensuring timely delivery based on business needs.
• Conduct unit tests and develop database queries to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Enhance and optimize existing reports and collaborate with teams to integrate new reporting features.

Must Have:

• Experience in developing and maintaining visual reports, KPIs, scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI and Cognos.
• Experience in prototyping, designing, and conducting requirement analysis for business intelligence solutions.
• Expertise in advanced-level calculations, displaying large datasets, and optimizing performance.
• Experience with MS SQL Server BI Stack, including SSRS, TSQL, Power Query, MDX, Power BI, and DAX.
• Experience in the insurance (e.g., Underwriting, Claims, Policy Issuance) or financial industry is preferred.
• High-level proficiency in Excel, including macros and pivot tables.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and normalization.
