We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with deep expertise in building scalable, business-critical dashboards and data models within the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have strong technical capabilities along with a solid understanding of insurance data, KPIs, and reporting requirements across functions such as underwriting, claims, policy servicing, and finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports
• Translate complex business requirements into intuitive and impactful visualizations

Data Modeling & Transformation

• Build optimized data models using Power BI, DAX, and Power Query
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from multiple sources

Insurance Domain Analytics

• Develop dashboards for key insurance metrics across underwriting, claims, risk, policy lifecycle, and finance
• Work closely with business teams to define KPIs and reporting frameworks

Performance Optimization

• Optimize report performance, data refresh cycles, and query efficiency
• Ensure scalability and reliability of reporting solutions

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and business users

Data Governance & Quality

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance standards are maintained
• Implement best practices for data security and access control

Key Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in BI/Analytics with strong expertise in Power BI
• Proven experience in the insurance domain (mandatory)
• Strong proficiency in:
• DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
• Power Query
• SQL
• Experience in building complex data models and enterprise-grade dashboards
• Strong understanding of insurance data structures and KPIs (claims, underwriting, policy, risk, etc.)
• Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources (data warehouses, APIs, cloud platforms)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure ecosystem (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake)
• Exposure to data warehousing concepts and architecture
• Experience in real-time or near real-time reporting
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting in insurance
• Understanding of actuarial or risk analytics is a plus
