Job summary

HSBC Software Development India invites an experienced Consultant Specialist to join our Power Platform team in Hyderabad. You will design, develop and maintain scalable Canvas and Model-driven Apps using Microsoft Power Apps, translate business requirements into secure, maintainable solutions, and configure Dataverse with security roles.

You will own end-to-end delivery across development, testing and production, integrate Power Apps with APIs and external systems, apply governance practices

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Power Apps/Power Platform Developer.
• Hands-on with Canvas Apps and Model-driven Apps.
• Experience in Power Automate and Dataverse.
• Experience integrating Power Apps with APIs and external systems.
• Knowledge of environment management, governance, and security roles.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Familiarity with end-to-end delivery and ALM processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable Canvas Apps and Model-driven Apps using Power Apps.
• Translate business requirements into practical, secure and maintainable Power Platform solutions.
• Configure Dataverse: tables, relationships, views, business rules and security roles.
• Build user-friendly features: forms, galleries, workflows, attachments, RBAC and responsive interfaces.
• Integrate Power Apps with internal/external systems via APIs and connectors.
• Apply secure authentication, data exchange, data quality and governance across solutions.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to boost productivity and outcomes.
• Manage deployment across dev, test and prod using pipelines and release controls.
• Use Jira to manage requirements, tasks, defects, sprints and delivery reports.
• Own end-to-end delivery lifecycle including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop and maintain scalable Canvas Apps and Model-driven Apps using Microsoft Power Apps.
• Translate business requirements into practical, secure and maintainable Power Platform solutions.
• Configure Microsoft Dataverse, including tables, columns, relationships, views, business rules and security roles.
• Build user-friendly application features, including forms, galleries, workflows, attachments, role-based access and responsive interfaces.
• Integrate Power Apps with internal and external systems using APIs, custom connectors, Power Automate and other Microsoft services.
• Apply secure authentication, data-exchange, data-quality and governance practices across solutions.
• Use AI-enabled tools and capabilities to improve development productivity, automate processes and enhance business outcomes.
• Manage application deployment across development, testing and production environments using pipelines, ALM and appropriate release controls.
• Use Jira to manage requirements, development tasks, defects, sprint activities and delivery reporting.
• Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, support and continuous improvement.

To be successful, you will:

• Have proven professional experience as a Power Apps Developer or Power Platform Developer, with strong hands-on experience in Canvas Apps, Model-driven Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse.
• Demonstrate practical experience delivering file and document attachment functionality, user permissions, role-based access and responsive application interfaces.
• Have good knowledge of Dataverse data modelling, relationships, security roles, environment management, governance and performance considerations.
• Have experience integrating Power Apps with APIs, custom connectors, external systems and Microsoft services.
• Understand Power Platform pipelines, Application Lifecycle Management, multi-environment deployment and structured release controls.
• Be able to analyse complex business requirements and convert them into effective, maintainable technical solutions. Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with distributed teams across locations and time zones.
• Show ownership, adaptability and a commitment to quality, while building domain knowledge and gaining a strong understanding of business processes.
