Job summary

HSBC Software Development India in Pune is seeking a Consultant Specialist with strong Python and UI framework experience to join a hybrid team. You will translate business requirements into stories, deliver iteratively, and support production with a focus on clean design and timely delivery.

Ideal candidates will have Python, Flask/Dash/ReactJS experience, UNIX, RESTful APIs, and willingness to learn multiple languages.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist

In this role, you will:

• Work within a team of 4 - 6 people with a dedicated product owner. Most teams are in a single location, but it can be geographically dispersed
• Take a business requirement, divide it up into stories and deliver each story iteratively to production.
• Product support is integral to the role - we have a saying, "the team builds it, the team supports it".
• Identify areas of technical debt, ensure a healthy balance of tech debt and new functionality is prioritised and worked on
• For new items you need to design the solution and ensure that it follows technology guidelines and constraints
• Pairing with other members of the team
• Produce accurate delivery estimates and manage the transition from analysis through to design and delivery

To be successful, you will:

• Willingness to learn multiple programming languages
• Demonstratable experience of Python and UI frameworks like Flask, Dash and ReactJS
• Working knowledge of UNIX
• Handson of HTTP APIs e.g. RESTful APIs
• Communication within the team is mainly in English
• Experience in deploying solution to cloud environment would be beneficial
