Job summary

Advance Career Solutions seeks an experienced PostgreSQL DBA to manage PostgreSQL databases, including installation, configuration, tuning, backup/recovery, replication, and HA.

You will work across development, UAT, and production, ensuring performance, security, and uptime, with Oracle RAC/Data Guard expertise as a plus. PAN India remote work is offered, with collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in PostgreSQL database administration including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and high availability.
• Hands-on knowledge of Oracle RAC, Oracle Database, and Oracle Data Guard.
• Experience with backup/recovery, monitoring, security, and production support.
• Experience across development, UAT, and production environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain PostgreSQL databases.
• Monitor database health, performance, availability, and capacity.
• Perform PostgreSQL performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and parameter optimization.
• Manage backup, restore, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery activities.
• Troubleshoot incidents, connectivity issues, locking, performance bottlenecks, and replication failures.
• Implement and maintain database security, roles, permissions, and access controls.
• Support database migration, upgrades, and environment refreshes.
• Work on high-availability and failover solutions for critical databases.
• Provide production support and root-cause analysis for database issues.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL DBA with strong expertise in PostgreSQL database administration along with hands-on knowledge of Oracle RAC, Oracle Database, and Oracle Data Guard. The candidate will be responsible for database installation, configuration, performance tuning, high availability, backup/recovery, monitoring, security, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain PostgreSQL databases.
• Perform database administration activities across development, UAT, and production environments.
• Monitor database health, performance, availability, and capacity.
• Perform PostgreSQL performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and database parameter optimization.
• Manage database backup, restore, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery activities.
• Troubleshoot database incidents, connectivity issues, locking, performance bottlenecks, and replication failures.
