We are looking for an exceptional AI/ML researcher/engineer with strong hands-on expertise in IP networking to join a collaborative research project involving IIIT Delhi, IIT Madras, UC Davis and leading industry partners.
Essential Qualifications
- Candidates must hold a PhD in Computer Science/Information Technology/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field, with a strong academic record.
Scope of Technical Work
- AI / MACHINE LEARNING
- Demonstrate strong hands on expertise in AI/ML, Deep Learning and anomaly detection
- Work with time-series data, feature engineering, classification and root-cause analysis
- Develop and integrate ML and DL models using Python / PyTorch / TensorFlow / Scikit-learn
- IP NETWORKING
- Have strong practical knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, IPv4/IPv6, TCP/UDP
- Be comfortable setting up, configuring and troubleshooting physical IP networks
- Understand network performance parameters including latency, jitter, packet loss, congestion and throughput
- Hands-on experience with network equipment is essential
Software Development
- Strong programming skills in Python, C and C++
Administrative & Project Coordination Responsibilities
- Coordinate project activities across IIIT Delhi, India , IIT Madras, India, UC Davis,USA and industry partners;
- Track project expenditure, purchase and administrative requirements; and Assist the PI and Co-Pis in coordination of NSF–MeitY reporting, reviews, workshops and inter-institutional activities.
What You Will Learn
- In-depth, hands-on knowledge of optical communication systems, particularly in the context of data centre networks
- Practical experience in applying machine learning and deep learning frameworks to optical networking environments
Prerequisites
- A solid understanding of neural networks and machine learning models
- Proficiency in Python programming, machine learning and python-based ML/DL frameworks such Sklearn, PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Knowledge of Optical Networks and equipment is also desirable.
