Job summary

CTRLRoom Systems in Mohali, Punjab is seeking a creative Videographer cum Photographer to document political activities, public meetings, constituency visits, rallies, and events.

The role involves capturing impactful visuals for social media, coordinating with social media and editing teams, and willingness to travel across Punjab. Proficiency with DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lenses, gimbals, and microphones is preferred; Punjabi proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for a creative, energetic, and field-oriented Videographer cum Photographer to document political activities, public meetings, constituency visits, community interactions, rallies, press conferences, and campaign events.

The ideal candidate should understand the fast-paced nature of political communication and be capable of capturing impactful visuals that tell a story, highlight public engagement, and are suitable for social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Cover political events, public meetings, rallies, press conferences, constituency visits, and on-ground activities.
• Capture high-quality photographs and videos for social media, digital campaigns, and public communication.
• Shoot vertical videos and reels for Instagram, Facebook, and other digital platforms.
• Capture candid moments, public interactions, speeches, crowd shots, and event highlights.
• Work closely with the social media and video editing teams to deliver content on time.
• Organise, label, and upload raw footage and photographs to the designated cloud storage.
• Ensure proper framing, lighting, audio quality, and visual consistency.
• Remain available for field assignments, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional travel.

Requirements

• Experience in photography and videography, preferably in political campaigns, news, media, or digital marketing.
• Proficiency in operating DSLR or mirrorless cameras, lenses, gimbals, and microphones.
• Understanding of composition, camera movement, lighting, and video framing.
• Ability to capture both planned shots and spontaneous moments under tight deadlines.
• Basic knowledge of video formats, frame rates, and social media content requirements.
• A portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous work.
• Punjabi proficiency is preferred; familiarity with Punjab’s political and local environment will be an advantage.
• Willingness to travel across Punjab as required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience covering political leaders, public representatives, election campaigns, or public events.
• Ability to shoot cinematic sequences as well as natural, documentary-style footage.
• Familiarity with stabilisation equipment, wireless microphones, and professional camera accessories.
• Basic video editing skills are an advantage but not mandatory.
