Job summary

Neilsoft is seeking a PLM Business Analyst to drive requirements gathering, process optimization, and PLM solution customization. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and IT to ensure cohesive product development workflows.

The candidate should have working knowledge of PLM applications, programming (Python), and data governance, with experience in workshops and training for end-users.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse business requirements related to PLM processes.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications aligned with the business processes.
• Assist in the implementation, customization, and configuration of PLM solutions.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and perform system upgrades as needed.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance PLM workflows to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Partner with business units to develop and refine PLM-related best practices and policies.
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and IT teams to ensure alignment across product development processes.
• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and training sessions for end-users.
• Ensure proper data governance, including data migration, cleansing, and integration with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM).
• Engage with developers to integrate PLM solutions with CAD/BIM platforms like AutoCAD, Revit, Plant3D, Creo, SolidWorks.

Job description

This position is for PLM Business Analyst with knowledge of any PLM Application like Windchill, Aras, Team Centre etc.

• Knowledge in any programming language, especially Python.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyse business requirements related to PLM processes.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications aligned with the business processes.
• Assist in the implementation, customization, and configuration of PLM solutions.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and perform system upgrades as needed.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance PLM workflows to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Partner with business units to develop and refine PLM-related best practices and policies.

• Engage, collaborate with developers working on developing software solutions using CAD & BIM platforms like AutoCAD, Revit, Plant3D, Creo, SolidWorks, etc. to integrate PLM solutions.
• Continuously improving technical skills through self-study, courses.
• Writing and executing unit tests or participating in other testing processes to ensure software quality.
• Should have exposure to Agile project management

Skills/Abilities:

• Should design PLM processes that manage a product’s lifecycle from conception through design, production, and end-of-life.
• Should have technical expertise with business process understanding to ensure efficient product data management and collaboration across departments
• Good communication skills and presentation ability
