Job summary

Recro is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer in Pune to design, operate, and secure enterprise Azure AKS platforms. You will perform hands-on Azure administration, Kubernetes orchestration, and IaC automation to deliver scalable, reliable platform services across distributed environments.

You will implement identity, security controls, and observability, building automated delivery pipelines and self-service onboarding for teams. Familiarity with regulated domains is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, IT, or related field.
• Experience designing, operating, and securing Azure cloud infra and AKS platforms.
• Hands-on IaC automation using Terraform or Bicep.

Responsibilities

• Azure Platform Administration: manage subscriptions, resource groups, VMs/VMSS, App Services, Storage, and Recovery Services Vaults.
• Kubernetes Operations: design, deploy, upgrade, and operate AKS clusters with autoscaling and ingress.
• Cloud Networking: architect VNets, subnets, NSGs/ASGs, Private Link, and ExpressRoute/VPN.
• Identity & Security: implement Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, Key Vault integration, and Defender for Cloud.
• Automation & CI/CD: build IaC with Terraform/Bicep and pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Observability: monitor with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Role Overview

Responsible for designing, operating, and securing enterprise cloud infrastructure and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) platforms. This role combines hands‑on Azure administration, Kubernetes orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure platform services across distributed enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Azure Platform Administration: Manage subscriptions, resource groups, VMs/VMSS, App Services, Storage, and Recovery Services Vaults.


• Kubernetes Operations: Design, deploy, upgrade, and operate public and private AKS clusters, including node pools, autoscaling, Ingress (NGINX/AGIC), and CoreDNS.


• Cloud Networking: Architect and troubleshoot VNets, subnets, NSGs/ASGs, UDRs, Private Link/Private Endpoints, Load Balancers, and ExpressRoute/VPN connections.


• Identity & Security: Implement Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, PIM, managed identities, Key Vault secrets integration via CSI drivers, and Defender for Cloud compliance.


• Automation & CI/CD: Build and maintain IaC using Terraform or Bicep; automate delivery pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to enable self‑service onboarding.


• Observability: Monitor platform and workload health using Azure Monitor for containers, Log Analytics, Prometheus, and Grafana, driving SLO/SLA targets.

Key Requirements

• Core Technical Skills: Microsoft Azure, AKS, Terraform/Bicep, Entra ID (Azure AD), PIM, VNet/Private Link, Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions, and container security.


• Certifications (Preferred): AZ-305, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, or CKS.


• Domain Advantage: Prior experience in regulated industries (Life Sciences, Healthcare, or Pharmaceuticals) is a plus.
