Job summary

Luxoft in Bengaluru seeks an experienced AWS Platform Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting cloud infrastructure on AWS. The role includes Production BAU support during business hours and collaborating with dev, security and architecture teams.

Candidates should have 5+ years of AWS Cloud Engineering/Platform Engineering, hands-on with Terraform or CloudFormation, Jenkins or GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in AWS Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available AWS infrastructure.
• Automate platform provisioning, deployment, and operational activities.
• Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and security compliance.
• Perform infrastructure upgrades, patching, and optimization activities.
• Collaborate with development, security, and architecture teams to deliver cloud solutions.

• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve incidents within defined SLAs.
• Manage service requests, change requests, and incident tickets in ServiceNow.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced AWS Platform Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting cloud infrastructure hosted on AWS.

The role also includes providing Production (PROD) BAU support, handling operational requests, and investigating production issues raised by users and application teams during business hours

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available AWS infrastructure.
• Automate platform provisioning, deployment, and operational activities.
• Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and security compliance.
• Perform infrastructure upgrades, patching, and optimization activities.
• Collaborate with development, security, and architecture teams to deliver cloud solutions.

Production Support (BAU Operations)

• Provide support for Production BAU requests and operational activities.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring production issues.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and technology teams to resolve incidents within defined SLAs.
• Manage service requests, change requests, and incident tickets in ServiceNow.
• Maintain operational runbooks, knowledge base articles, and support documentation.
• Participate in change implementation, release support, and post-deployment validation activities.

Support Coverage

• Provide operational and production support coverage from 8:00 AM AEST to 5:00 PM AEST.
• Respond to production incidents, user-raised issues, and BAU operational requests within agreed SLAs.
• Ensure service availability and operational stability during the support window.

Mandatory Skills Description

• 5+ years of experience in AWS Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
