The role focuses on designing, building, and enhancing software solutions using established engineering practices. The work supports business, platform, and technology capabilities that serve both customers and internal teams.

Accountabilities

• Develop and deliver high quality software solutions using industry standard programming languages, frameworks, and tools while ensuring code remains scalable, maintainable, and performance optimized.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to define requirements, design solution approaches, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with peers, participate in code reviews, and contribute to maintaining strong standards for code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Keep up with technology trends and innovations, and actively engage in internal technology communities that encourage technical growth.
• Follow secure coding practices to reduce vulnerabilities, safeguard sensitive data, and maintain secure software implementations.
• Implement effective unit testing practices to support reliable, readable, and well structured code.
• Contribute to the work of related teams within the functional area.
• Collaborate with other functions and business units to achieve shared objectives.
• Take responsibility for operational processing and team related activities.
• Escalate any breaches of policies or procedures when required.
• Support the implementation of updated policies and procedures related to risk management.
• Provide guidance and influence decision making within the area of expertise.
• Take ownership of risk management and control improvements related to assigned work.
• Build an understanding of how the sub function integrates with the broader organization, including knowledge of products, services, and processes.
