Job summary

HRD House is seeking a Plant Manager to head pharma manufacturing operations near Baddi. You will oversee production, engineering, stores and packaging, while ensuring safety and quality across all dosage forms (excluding injectables).

The candidate must have 20+ years in production leadership, strong GMP knowledge, and proven ability to manage contract labour and multi-department coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master in pharma with 20+ years in production leadership.
• Experience in pharma manufacturing excluding injectables.
• Knowledge of EU GMP / UK MHRA / WHO GMP and audits.
• Strong cost control within budgets and safety compliance.
• Excellent people and contract labour management.
• Ability to coordinate across QA/QC, Engineering, Maintenance, Stores.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant operations including production, engineering, stores, packaging.
• Review production processes, address OOS/OOT, deviations, and technical issues.
• Prepare and approve SOPs and in-process controls.
• Control production costs within budgets while ensuring quality and safety.

Role & responsibilities

1. As a Plant Manager, candidate will be working for reputed Pharmaceuticals near Baddi and will be responsible for handling entire Plant Operation including Production, Engineering, stores, warehouse, packaging and work staff & contract employees Upto 400.

2. Candidate will be responsible for overseeing overall plant operations and production activities, all dosage forms except injectable.

3. Candidate will be responsible for Review production processes, in-process testing, OOS/OOT issues, deviations, and technical problems, coordinating with relevant departments for timely resolution and corrective actions.

4. Candidate will be responsible for Prepare, review, and approve production SOPs, operating instructions, and in-process control procedures, ensuring effective implementation and documentation.

5. Candidate will be responsible for Manage production costs within approved budgets while maintaining quality, safety, and operational standards and Ensure effective coordination with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Engineering, Maintenance, Stores, and other departments to achieve production and business objectives.

6. Candidate will be responsible for effective man management & contract labour management & maintain good industrial relation for smooth operation of plant.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Candidate should be B.Pharm / M.Pharm experience around 20+ years of experience out of which, last 3-4 years of Production head or Plant Manager. Pharma Manufacturing handling production, QA/QC/Stores /packaging and staff/ worker & contract employees Upto 400.

2. Candidate should have good knowledge of overseeing manufacturing operations for all dosage forms except injectable.

3. Candidate should have good knowledge of Ensuring compliance with EU GMP / UKMHRA / WHO GMP and other relevant quality audit, environmental, occupational health, and safety standards.

4. Candidate should have good knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory.

5. Candidate should have good knowledge of maintain the cost of production within the budgeted norms to analysis process condition daily solved operational issues (man, materials machines) quality issues (OOS,OOT) and technical issues to discuss with concerns dept.

6. Candidate should be good in effective management, employee relations & improving productivity & effective at plant level.
