Job summary

Maya Biotech in India is seeking an Operations Manager for injectable manufacturing with 15–20 years of experience. The role focuses on GMP compliance, product quality, production targets, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.

You will lead sterile production, coordinate with QA/QC, engineering, and supply chain, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety. This on-site role requires strong leadership in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage production operations for sterile injectables.
• Meet production plans with quality and compliance.
• Ensure GMP, SOPs, aseptic practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with QA, QC, Engineering, Warehouse, Supply Chain, and Maintenance.
• Monitor production performance, yield, downtime, and batch execution.
• Support investigations, deviations, CAPA, change controls, audits.
• Optimize manpower, equipment, materials, and costs.
• Drive continuous improvement and waste reduction.
• Ensure EHS and safety compliance.
• Lead and develop the manufacturing team.

Job Purpose

To manage and oversee day-to-day injectable manufacturing operations, ensuring GMP compliance, product quality, production targets, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage overall production operations for sterile/injectable products.
• Ensure achievement of production plans while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Ensure strict adherence to GMP, SOPs, aseptic practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with QA, QC, Engineering, Warehouse, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams.
• Monitor production performance, yield, productivity, downtime, and batch execution.
• Support investigations, deviations, CAPA, change controls, and audit/inspection readiness.
• Optimize manpower, equipment, materials, and manufacturing costs.
• Drive continuous improvement, productivity enhancement, and reduction of wastage.
• Ensure compliance with EHS and safety requirements.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the manufacturing team.

Qualification

B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Tech / M.Tech or relevant pharmaceutical/engineering qualification.
