Job summary

JITO in Indore, India is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee the corrugated box manufacturing unit, handling production planning, machine and manpower management, and ensuring quality control and on-time dispatch while maintaining safety and cost efficiency.

You will drive continuous improvement, coordinate with sales and procurement, manage shifts, monitor costs and waste, and lead a team of operators and supervisors to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Experience as Plant Manager overseeing day-to-day corrugated box manufacturing operations.
• Ability to plan production schedules, manage machines and manpower, and ensure quality control and timely dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise daily production to meet deadlines.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of corrugating machines, flexo printers, die-cutters and other equipment.
• Ensure efficient use of raw materials to minimize waste and control costs.
• Lead plant staff including operators, helpers and supervisors; assign shifts.
• Implement and monitor quality checks at production stages to meet client specs.
• Coordinate with sales on orders, delivery timelines and specs.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Maintain plant safety, housekeeping and compliance with regulations.
• Monitor machine downtime and coordinate timely maintenance.
• Track daily production, wastage and machine efficiency for management reporting.
• Ensure timely dispatch and liaise with logistics for on-time delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement to boost productivity and reduce costs.

We are looking for an experienced Plant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our corrugated box manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for production planning, machine and manpower management, quality control, and ensuring timely dispatch, while maintaining safety, cost-efficiency, and adherence to production targets.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise daily production of corrugated boxes to meet order deadlines
• Oversee operation and maintenance of corrugating machines, flexo printers, die-cutting, and other plant equipment
• Ensure optimum utilization of raw materials (kraft paper, reels) to minimize wastage and control costs
• Manage and lead plant staff including machine operators, helpers, and supervisors; allocate manpower shift-wise
• Implement and monitor quality control checks at every production stage to ensure output meets client specifications
• Coordinate with the sales team on order requirements, delivery timelines, and special specifications
• Coordinate with the purchase/store team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and consumables
• Maintain plant safety standards, housekeeping, and compliance with statutory/factory regulations
• Monitor machine breakdowns and coordinate timely repair/preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
• Track daily production reports, wastage reports, and machine efficiency, and report to management
• Ensure timely dispatch and coordinate with logistics for on-time delivery to clients
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce production costs
