Job summary

Primo Automation Systems in Chennai, India seeks a maintenance technician to perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines and equipment. The role involves troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and utility-related issues, and ensuring optimal operation of compressors, pumps, DG, air-conditioning, and other utilities.

You will monitor power, water, and other services, inspect equipment, maintain records, and coordinate with production for needs.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance.
• Knowledge of Pneumatics and Hydraulics will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance and Breakdown Maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and attend breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and utility-related issues.
• Maintain and monitor compressors, pumps, DG, air-conditioning, and other utility systems.
• Monitor power, water, compressed air, and other utility services.
• Conduct regular inspection of machines and utility equipment.
• Maintain maintenance checklists, breakdown reports, and service records.
• Coordinate with Production and other departments for maintenance requirements.
• Maintain spares, tools, and maintenance materials.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service engineers when required.
• Support installation, commissioning, and shifting of machinery.
• Ensure proper 5S, housekeeping, safety, and PPE compliance in the maintenance area.
• Identify recurring breakdowns and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure maximum machine availability and minimum production downtime.
