Job summary

Excelindia HR Services is looking for a Head of the Department (Operations & Maintenance) to manage operation and maintenance activities at a Thermal power plant (1x660 MW) in Pune District, Maharashtra. The ideal candidate should have 20-25 years of experience, with at least 10 years as a HOD in O&M. Responsibilities include establishing the O&M division, developing SOPs, and leading maintenance activities. A B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech/ME in Mechanical is required, along with knowledge of O&M software.

Qualifications

• 20-25 years experience, with at least 10 years as a HOD in O&M.
• Specialization in BTG Package O&M for a minimum of 7 years with super critical thermal power project.
• Recent minimum 10 years work experience with Contractor Company.

Job Profile

Manage operation and maintenance activities at the Thermal power plant (1x660 MW) and assigned team to ensure contractual quality, safety, financial, cost and time targets.

Responsibilities

• Establish O&M division/sub-division/business development.
• Develop SOPs, manuals, roles and responsibilities for team members (job profiles).
• Plan, lead and manage operation and maintenance activities at the plant and assigned team.
• Ensure plant performance targets are reached.
• Ensure competent resources and competence development within team.
• Ensure plant conditions meet guidelines; take corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure work is executed per company guidelines.
• Implement action plans, processes and guidelines within responsibility area.
• Prepare reports, plans and budgets as instructed by Management.
• Identify and actively seek to improve operational and maintenance reliability and availability.
• Develop operation and maintenance working routines at the plant.

Qualifications

• 20-25 years experience with at least 10 years as a HOD in O&M.
• Specialization: 1) Boiler & Turbine Generator (BTG) Package O&M for minimum 7 years with super critical thermal power project, 2) Recent and minimum 10 years work experience with Contractor Company, 3) Technical commissioning & Maintenance knowledge of boiler, turbine, GD, CHP, AHP, etc.
• Education: B.E./B.Tech - Mechanical or M.Tech/ME - Mechanical.
• Skillset: O&M software, Primavera or MSP, good communication (verbal & written), knowledge in contract administration.
