Responsibilities

Position Details

Position Title : Plant EHS Head

Location : Chakan , Pune

Exp required : 15 - 22 years

Job Purpose:The primary purpose of the Plant EHS Head role is to develop, implement, and lead the Plant's Environment, Health, and Safety strategy to ensure a safe workplace, legal compliance, environmental sustainability, and a strong safety culture across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop & implement process for smooth flow of EHS & Sustainability data collection, validation and verification.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and corporate EHS requirements.
• Interpret data to produce actionable recommendations for improving HSE performance.
• Develop and maintain EHS dashboards and reports to track key HSE performance indicators.
• Prepare and maintain emergency response plans.
• Monitor EHS performance through audits, inspections, and KPIs.
• Lead risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident prevention initiatives.
• Investigate accidents, dangerous occurrences, and near misses.
• Organize safety induction programs for employees and contractors.
• Evaluate PPE effectiveness and replacement requirements.
• Conduct contractor safety inductions and audits.
• Monitor and execute EHS budget allocated to the Plant

Key Deliverables / Accountabilities of the Position:

1. 100% applicable EHS compliances of the plant
2. Improve leading indicators such as safety observations, near-miss reporting, and observation closure rates.
3. Ensuring EHS Awareness among the workers
4. Maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications.
5. Complete risk assessments for all operations.
6. Ensure the Waste Water Treatment Plants compliances pertaining to the PCB Requirements
