Job summary

Arto Precast in Bangalore is seeking a Planning Engineer to optimize production planning, scheduling and resource use. You will develop a detailed Master Production Schedule (MPS) and coordinate with production to align Make-to-Stock and Make-to-Order products.

You will coordinate factory layouts, weekly mould planning, and monitor daily performance, visiting sites as needed to address issues affecting erection schedules.

Qualifications

Position: Planning Engineer

Precast Exp - Mandatory To plan and integrate the operations of an organization and optimize resource utilization. To monitor and maintain operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
Production planning & scheduling:

• Lead production planning and forecasting to optimize team utilization and reduce operating costs.
• Develop a detailed Master Production Schedule (MPS) in close collaboration with the production team on a weekly basis for both Make-to-Stock (MTS) and Make-to-Order (MTO) products.
• Coordinate with the factory team to prepare factory layouts and conduct weekly mould planning aligned with the MPS.
• Monitor daily production performance and conduct delay analysis; visit sites or factories as needed to address any issues affecting production or erection schedules.
• Prepare detailed dispatch and erection schedules for individual projects, and support communication between production, dispatch, and site project teams to ensure timely execution.
• Provide a work breakdown structures (WBS) in coordination with quantity surveyor and other teams.

Resource planning:

• Conduct weekly resource planning in collaboration with design, procurement, erection and production teams to optimize material, manpower and equipment usage at both the factory and site levels.

Cross-functional coordination:

• Serve as a liaison between production, site, design, and procurement teams to ensure effective resource utilization, maximize operational efficiency, and improve working capital management.

Problem identification & opportunity analysis:

• Identify operational problems and potential opportunities for process improvement, proposing solutions to enhance overall efficiency.
