Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Planning & Billing Engineer in Mumbai to oversee planning, monitoring, billing, and cost control for commercial construction projects. The role involves preparing detailed schedules, tracking progress, and ensuring timely financial reporting.

You will coordinate with Civil, MEP, and commercial teams, prepare BOQs and cost estimates, manage client and subcontractor bills, and support project leadership in forecasting and reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Planning & Billing within commercial construction projects.
• Proficient in planning, scheduling, billing processes, and cost control methodologies.
• Experience in BOQ preparation, quantity surveying, client and subcontractor billing, and project reporting.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules, baseline programs, and milestones.
• Monitor progress and generate periodic reports, dashboards, and MIS.
• Prepare and process client RA bills and subcontractor bills; perform quantity reconciliations.
• Coordinate with site teams, contractors, consultants, and clients for progress measurement and billing approvals.
• Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and budget tracking reports.
• Monitor costs, identify variances, and suggest corrective actions for budget compliance.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, resource planning reports, and project progress presentations.
• Track productivity, material consumption, and progress against targets.
• Support change order management, variation claims, and contractual documentation.
• Maintain comprehensive project records, billing registers, and planning reports.

The incumbent will support project execution by preparing project schedules, tracking progress, managing client and contractor billing, monitoring budgets, and ensuring timely project reporting and financial control.

About You

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Planning & Billing functions within commercial construction projects.


• Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling techniques, billing processes, and cost control methodologies.


• Experience in preparation of BOQ, quantity surveying, client billing, subcontractor billing, and project reporting.


• Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, Advanced Excel, AutoCAD, and construction planning tools.


• Good understanding of construction contracts, project budgeting, and commercial management processes.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.


• Ability to manage multiple project priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.


• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
