Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct age-appropriate Physical Education classes per curriculum and calendar.
• Prepare annual, term-wise, monthly and lesson-wise PE plans.
• Conduct regular fitness assessments and maintain student fitness records.
• Teach basic skills in athletics, team games, individual sports, and other sports offered by the school.
• Identify students with sporting potential through PE classes and assessments.
• Develop and maintain a Sports Talent Identification Database.
• Prepare students for Inter-House, Inter-School, District, State, National and other competitions.
• Assist in organizing Annual Sports Day and other sporting events.
• Maintain records of student participation, achievements, results and team performance.
• Coordinate with Principal, Academic Coordinators, Sports Coordinator and staff.
• Communicate schedules and competition information to students, parents and staff.
• Submit daily/monthly sports activity reports to the Sports Department.
• Attend staff and sports department meetings, workshops and training.

Job Description:

• Plan and conduct age-appropriate Physical Education classes as per the school curriculum and academic calendar.
• Prepare annual, term-wise, monthly and lesson-wise PE plans.
• Conduct regular fitness assessments and maintain individual student fitness records.
• Teach and develop basic skills in athletics, team games, individual sports and other sports offered by the school.
• Identify students with sporting potential through regular PE classes, fitness assessments and competitions.
• Develop and maintain a Sports Talent Identification Database.
• Prepare students for Inter-House, Inter-School, District, State, National and other recognized competitions.
• Assist in organizing Annual Sports Day, Inter-House Competitions, Sports Festivals, Athletic Meets and other sporting events.
• Maintain accurate records of student participation, sports achievements, competition results and team performance.
• Monitor and document students representing the school at District, State, National and International levels.
• Coordinate with the Principal, Academic Coordinators, Class Teachers, Sports Coordinator, administration, medical staff and external coaches.
• Communicate sports schedules, competition information and other relevant details to students, parents and concerned staff through approved school channels.
• Submit daily/monthly sports activity reports and other reports as required by the Sports Department.
• Attend staff meetings, sports department meetings, workshops and training programmes as required.
• Follow all SVKM and school policies, child safeguarding guidelines, safety procedures and administrative requirements.
• Work closely with the Principal, Director - Sports, Sports Coordinator and School Management for the overall development of the school's sports programme.
• Undertake any other sports-related responsibilities assigned by the Principal or Director - Sports
